Roadmap to Florida's Future
The process of developing the 2007-2012 Roadmap to Florida’s Future (Free My eFlorida Registration Required) a five-year statewide strategic plan for economic development, unearthed a wealth of "bright ideas" and best practices. The following six are highlighted as priority recommendations for the Roadmap, based on the imperative to accelerate high, value-added economic growth and guided by the need for action-oriented implementation.

Input into the development of the 2007-2012 Roadmap was broad-based and multifaceted as evidenced in the plan’s Appendices:
Appendix A: 2004-09 Strategic Plan Implementation Progress Report – Enterprise Florida assessed the quantitative and qualitative progress Florida has made in implementing prior Roadmap priorities.
Appendix B: Florida’s Economic Competitiveness: Key Comparative Benchmarks 2007 – Enterprise Florida analyzed the level of Florida’s competitiveness as demonstrated by key comparative benchmarks.
Appendix C: Enterprise Florida 21st Century Economic Development Task Force Priority Recommendations – Enterprise Florida created the 21st Century Economic Development Task Force as an ad hoc Enterprise Florida Board committee to help identify long-term strategic issues for Florida’s continued competitiveness.
Appendix D: Regional Forum Agendas and Summaries -- Along with Enterprise Florida’s local and regional economic development partners, Enterprise Florida hosted eight regional forums, with over 1,000 participants, to solicit input from state and local experts and advocates.
Appendix E: Enterprise Florida Focus Group Summaries – Enterprise Florida held issue-oriented focus groups of Enterprise Florida’s Board and Stakeholders Council.
Appendix F: Stakeholder Survey Summary – Enterprise Florida surveyed strategic planning stakeholders to assess the relevance of past strategic planning priorities and gather input on new priorities.
