Enterprise Florida Colombia trade mission scheduled for August 9-14
Business registration deadline is June 11
ORLANDO, FL (April 7, 2010) – Enterprise Florida invites businesses statewide to participate in an export sales mission to Bogotá and Cartagena, Colombia. Scheduled for August 9-14, the mission has a registration deadline of June 11. Businesses can sign up by contacting:

Participation will be limited to 25 Florida manufacturers, distributors, exporters and service companies on a first-come, first-served basis after they meet eligibility criteria.
The mission will include prescheduled appointments with potential business partners in Colombia, which is the third largest world market for Florida-made goods. Last year, Florida sold more than $3 billion of its products and services to Colombia, about a third of total U.S. exports there. Those ranking among the best prospects for trade with Colombia include:
• Telecommunication equipment; computers and components
• Safety and security
• Medical equipment
• Construction and mining equipment; building materials
• Automotive parts and accessories
• Electrical power systems
• Travel and tourism
• Air cargo services
• Pollution control equipment
• Food and beverage processing and packing equipment
• Plastic materials and resins
• Oil and gas machinery and services
“This event will help Florida businesses identify and establish relationships with buyers in one of the fastest growing markets in the world for Florida products,” said Manny Mencía, senior vice president of Enterprise Florida’s international business division. “Both cities are key business centers.”
Fees
Gold Key Participation – includes customized appointments for one company representative plus access to all mission events: $1,750 for both cities; $1,050 for Bogotá only; $750 for Cartagena only. The cost for an additional representative is $450.
Mission Delegate – no appointment scheduling but access to all mission events: $575 for both cities; $375 for one.
Note: airfare, lodging and meal accommodations are not included in the registration fees.
